2019 Houghton Jack Mann Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2019 vintage in Frankland River was characterized by persistent cool and dry conditions leading into a later than average commencement to harvest. The weather conditions resulted in the harvest of Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon at full flavor ripeness with fine structured tannins.
TASTING NOTES
The wine is deep red/purple in colour, with bright garnet hues. The bouquet, dense and concentrated, displays dark bramble fruits, blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate characters with a subtle overlay of bay leaf, tobacco and wild mint. A wonderful concentrated expression of Cabernet.
The palate is full-bodied with rich and sumptuous layers resulting in a wine with intensity, power and elegance. The dense, firm, fine grained tannin is beautifully integrated with the fruit and oak. Outstanding intensity, structure and balance will ensure great ageing potential and with careful cellaring, this wine will continue to develop in complexity over the next fifteen to twenty years.
